Training at Bark n' Park
At The Bark n’ Park, we believe that good dog training must be humane, fair, effective, and fun. Our two Directors of Training, Lynn Tagliaferro and Sue Meir offer and supervise our entire training program. We provide a variety of training venues from behavior consultations to private sessions specialized for you and your dog's individual needs. Group classes are available for agility and rally and obedience. We also offer private counseling, in pre-acquisition problem solving. 
Our approach to humane training uses positive reinforcement. "Our goal in training is to teach owners how to effectively communicate what they want to their dogs, and to build a strong and dedicated partnership based on respect for each other. Training programs are available for boarding and daycare dogs; we offer you two different types of training: group classes, and a customized board-and-train program. The type of training you choose depends on your lifestyle and what you want to accomplish with your dog. Proof of vaccinations or titres is required.
Agility classes are offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Six-week classes are offered on a continuous basis. Classes are taught by our owner-founder Lynn Tagliaferro, and Sue Meir. Both have extensive experience in teaching and competing agility dogs.

New Class beginning October 14, 2010 Basic Obedience and Manners
Bark n' Park is pleased to add Geri Richman to our training staff. Beginning October 14, 2010 Bark n' Park and Geri are teaming up to offer a new class in basic obedience and manners. This class is perfect for puppies, or older dogs who need a little help with their manners. Geri has been training and showing dogs since the 1970's and began using the Koehler Method of dog training. Geri still uses many of the basic concepts of the system, but has added her own twists based on her vast experience. Geri uses treats, clickers, toys, and other motivational techniques to help in traing. Whether you have a new pup or an older dog that needs a little "tweaking," this class is a must for you.
